Better to brand yourself or your business?
So the great debate, is it better to brand you or your business?
I dare say neither. Just share and be your authentic self. A better question is what can I provide of value today? or if you are a better planner than I
What can I provide of value tomorrow? If you ask yourself that question everyday and do it now…wow.
The only thing that matters is building honest to goodness real relationships with the people you are meeting out there on the Internet. You do that by helping them solve their problems and giving them good valueable relevant content. Some of them will buy and some of them won’t. Some of them will join your business. Some of them will connect with you on a deeper level and become lifetime friends and business partners.
Forget about the branding stuff. It is getting old and tired.
Forget about how great your company is. How great the founders are or the product or the timing. Nobody cares.
At the end of the day what people want to know is that you care. That you are who you say you are and that you bring them valuable content and solutions to their existing problems.
Get out there and do it!

Creating Your Own Capture Pages
Capture pages give you the ability to collect names and email addresses (and more if you so desire) of people who raise their hands and identify themselves as interested in who you are and what you offer whether it be a product, businesss opportunity or information you want to share with the world. They allow you to then build a list of prospects as quickly as you desire using any number of traffic creating methods. This list is true “gold” and if “mined” properly allows you to build relationships that will create multiple streams of income in ways you may never have imagined.
The capture page is one of the most important tools in your toolbox. Being able to create and build your own capture pages allows you to move quickly and test new ideas efficiently and economically. Without having to wait for new designs from “your web guy” you have your business running on superspeed and that can set you apart. The best news is it is easy to do when you have a mentor and the right software. Both available here and now:)!
I spent over a year knowing I wanted to be able to create my own capture pages (also known as lead captures or squeeze pages). I bought systems to create them for me but they weren’t custom and I didn’t know how to use them, I googled but there was software involved that was out of my league in cost and technical skills and I tried to hire it done but some of them knew less than I did. I was on a mission to figure this out. I knew it was possible to build a list of prospects online without chasing friends and family and without limiting myself to any geographic area.
I finally found people who were using these effectively, knew how to build them and shared the tools they were using. The most important of which is webdesign software available free called Blue Voda. Now the catch is that to publish your pages you must host them on a domain with VodaHost but it is a small price to pay for easy to use “designware” and the ability to create cashflow systems all day long. Gratitude and Appreciation Marketing
Many years ago when I began my real estate career there was a woman in my office who was a top sales agent not only in our town but in our state. She was the kind of person who made other people feel special. One of her daily routines was to look for information about local people, friends and customers in the daily paper. Things like promotions, births or maybe they were quoted in an article. She knew nearly everyone so she would cut it out and send it with a note. She sent several notes a day or hand delivered it if it were reasonable. People felt noticed and their acheivements appreciated. Simple really if you think about it and one of the best tools you can have in your toolbox. This business (networking) is all about relationships. What are you doing to show gratitude and appreciation? You can build an entire business around giving. She did and many of the fundamentals will never change. Send a handwritten note in these days of email, remember a birthday, remember a name or a detail about someones children or spouse or favorite pet. Connect with them at their favorite charity. Truly listen. Like compound interest the effects will be small at first but overtime they will grow and multiply. If you truly appreciate others and give gratitude and appreciation freely you will see tremendous results. People will remember you and how you make them feel good about themselves. We must take our eyes off ourselves and put them where they belong, on others. What can you do for someone else today to show gratitude and appreciation?
