I just finished a fabulous new book called Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion
“Crush it” is literally a step by step crash course instruction manual on how to harness the power of the internet and social media to build any kind of business. It is also about how to take any passion and turn it into a business. He even gives ideas of businesses that could be started if you don’t have a passion. Businesses he sees as opportunities for someone just looking to fill a void in the market.
One thing I really appreciated was that he is willing to give his contact information. He is interested in hearing from his readers and interested in having conversation. Talk about building relationships. Something social media is all about. He is raising the bar here to an even higher level.
There is some great commentary on how to build your brand. You as a person, how to differentiate yourself and how to choose the best platform for yourself. He introduces many of todays best resources and practises but is quick to point out how rapidly things are changing.
“Everyone knows the Internet represents one of the biggest cultural shifts since the printing press,” Vaynerchuk says. “But I think society has been slow to recognize that it represents the biggest shift in history in how we do business.”
Gary is a true visionary and this easy to read book is well worth the investment of time and money. Read it now! You will be so glad you did. Would love to know what you think!

There’s little doubt that the internet has changed the way we do business, and the way we make connections with people through e-networks.
